Kevin Barnaba joined Home Land Environmental in October 2016. At Home Land, Kevin oversees the day-to-day operations of Home Land Labs, certified by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) for drinking water analysis and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) for fungal mold analysis. He also teaches continuing education electives that Home Land provides for real estate professionals. He is a Licensed Environmental Health Specialist with expertise in onsite sewage disposal design and evaluations, environmental water quality, and air quality.
Kevin is certified by the McCrone Research Institute in Chicago for Indoor Air Quality: Fungal Spore Identification. Kevin is a certified Radon Measurement Specialist with the National Radon Safety Board (NRSB). He has also has completed the Pennsylvania Septage Management Association’s Wastewater Treatment System Inspection Course. He is an active member of the Harford County Association of Realtors, having served on the Affiliate and Trade Show Committees. He was named the Affiliate of the Year in 2019 for the Realtors Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) and in 2021 for the Harford County Association of Realtors. Prior to joining the team, Kevin served as Environmental Health Director for the Harford County Health Department where he was employed for 18 years. In 2016, he was the President of the Maryland Conference of Environmental Health Directors.
He also served on the Maryland Air Quality Control Advisory Council, the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund Advisory Board, the Harford County Environmental Advisory Board and the Aberdeen Proving Ground Restoration Advisory Board. Kevin is a graduate of Salisbury University with a degree in Biology. Kevin resides in Bel Air with his wife, their 2 children, and their adopted pets. He enjoys spending time outdoors and running marathons.
